All fundraising / sponsorships or donations activities must be approved by the Principal via the Funding and Development Administrator before commencing.
Fundraising can be done in the name of Orewa College for teams/groups or individuals who are involved in extra curricular events or activities that cost money to participate in or attend. Money raised can be used for such things as travel expenses, uniforms, equipment, entry fees and coaching costs. Fundraisers can also be conducted in the name of the College for outside organisations and charities. Fundraisers are organised and run by the groups raising the funds with guidance and advice from the Development Manager.
Sponsorship and Donations can be collected in the name of Orewa College for curriculum areas as well as teams/groups or individuals who are involved in extra curricular events or activities that cost money to participate in or attend. Large sponsorship is managed by the Developments Manager and /or school management. Medium and small sponsorship can be arranged by the Development Manager for whole school projects or by groups/departments in the school who want to raise funds with guidance and advice.
Grant applications to Charitable Trust and other funders can be applied for to fund both curricular and extra curricular areas of the school. They are submitted by the Development Manager, once a request has been received from the Board of Trustees, the Teacher in Charge of an extra curricular area or a Head of Department of a Curricular area.
