Music Camp

Over the first weekend in March, the annual Orewa College Music Camp took place. The Concert, Jazz, Symphonic Bands and the Four Octaves Choir all packed up on Friday afternoon and travelled to the camps location of Willow Park. The camp is used as a significant practice opportunity for these groups, and a lot of hard work is put into everyone’s music. With pieces such as: Benediction, Morocco, Superheroes R Us, and Bless the Broken Road, this camp was filled with all types of styles and sounds making this year a very varied set repertoire. Music wasn't the only activity enjoyed while on camp. Football, table tennis, tennis and minigolf were also appreciated, including the annual game of Real Life Cluedo. Saturday night also included a party with the theme of movie characters. The weekend concluding with a concert for the families. This camp was an unforgettable experience and was a fantastic way to start off the musical year. Special thanks to all the teachers and park staff who made this trip possible.
